The Retreat borders Pipestem State Park, and is only minutes away from The Resort, the Golf Course, Hiking, Fishing and everything else the Park offers. Numerous other activities are within a few miles, such as Hunting, Horseback riding, Wild Water Rafting, The New River Gorge, The Greenbriar and Skiing. Our log cabins are fully furnished with all the conveniences of home, with nature surrounding you. You can make your time with us as relaxing or as action packed as you desire.

The West Virginian is an authentic, spacious, all log home. Its fully covered, wrap around porch is perfect for dining or cocktails while watching the sunset.Included is a large complete kitchen, 3 bedrooms with superior mattresses for a perfect night sleep, and 2 ˝ baths.

The Cardinal is a well designed log home. It has a wrap around porch, covered at the front. The cabin has a light and spacious interior and is entered via a boardwalk from the driveway. It has a full kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 ˝ baths.

The Black Bear is a beautiful all log cabin with a loft open to below. It has a covered porch on one side and a spacious open deck at the front. The log cabin has a Master bedroom on the main floor and a Jacuzzi tub in one of the bathrooms. The living room features cathedral ceilings and a pellet stove.

Our log cabins are nestled on 10 acres of lovely secluded woods adjacent to Pipestem Resort and StatePark in the hills of Southern West Virginia. Wildlife is abundant and you are surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. You may awaken to the lyrics of songbirds and be awed by deer grazing in the fields on your morning walk.
Bordering the Retreat and just a short hike away is the State Park offering many resources for you, from hiking, swimming and horseback riding to a nature center, gift shops, and an 18 hole championship golf course.
Fine dining is available at the Park’s lodge and at the restaurants in town.
You can drive within minutes to view scenic wonders or delve into the past at historic sites.For the action-minded, whitewater rafting, skiing, boating and fishing are only a short driving distance away from the Retreat.
